In-app Store finally comes to the Kindle for Android App with launch of new Update

There is one thing that has literally made everyone recognize Amazon, and that is Kindle. Hundreds of users worldwide use the Kindle app on their smartphones, iPads as well as the Kindle hardware itself to read newspapers, magazines or whatever they like. Amazon has announced an update of its Kindle app for Android which is going to enhance the Kindle experience even more.

The fun spreads now as this morning Amazon announced that its Kindle for Android app will be the first to receive an update that will allow users to buy, read, and sync over 100 newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times and Newsweek. Users of Kindle for Android can now either purchase a single issue or subscribe to a number of newspapers and magazines, which will then be automatically delivered in color, to their respective Android smartphone.
The new update of the Kindle for Android app will feature the addition of an in-app store, which will let users to discover, buy, and download over 750,000 Kindle books without having to leave the app along with social integration which will allow users to share their progress in a book using Google’s built-in Share functionality.
The addition of these features to the Kindle for Android will definitely be welcomed by users, however the question remains whether or not Amazon plans to bring these very functions to the iOS platform. We’ll just have to wait and see if that happens.
This app can easily be downloaded from the Android Market and those already having the app installed on their Android devices should automatically receive the update.
